NDI in-house projection
Send presentation output to every screen in your building without a single cable.
NDI (Network Device Interface) is the modern way to move video around a building. Neopresenter has first-class NDI output — every Mac, PC, projector, or capture card on your network can subscribe to your presentation feed in real time.
Enabling NDI output
Open Settings → Projection → NDI and toggle the output on. By default, Neopresenter publishes one NDI stream named Neopresenter Main. On the Parish plan and up, you can publish up to four separate NDI channels (main output, stage display, captions-only, alpha channel).
Subscribing from a Mac
- Install NDI Tools (free)
- Open NDI Studio Monitor
- Right-click → choose
Neopresenter Mainfrom the list of available sources
Subscribing from a Windows projector or laptop
- Install NDI Tools
- Open Studio Monitor (same as above)
- Drag the source to your projector output via Display Settings → Extend → Fullscreen
Subscribing from a hardware switcher or projector
Most modern broadcast switchers (Blackmagic ATEM, Roland VR-series, NewTek TriCaster) and high-end projectors (Christie, Panasonic) accept NDI natively. Add Neopresenter Main as an input source from your switcher's network setup menu.
Latency expectations
NDI on a typical wired gigabit network has a glass-to-glass latency of 80–120ms. Wireless NDI varies based on your wifi quality — we recommend wired connections for any screen that's visible to the congregation.
Alpha channel output
The Parish plan unlocks alpha channel output, which sends your presentation graphics with transparency intact. This is invaluable for camera teams who want to composite scripture over the camera feed in their switcher, rather than full-screen on a projector.
